Last year we posted an article asking everyone to name two things that could make Sidney better. We got some great ideas and we are looking to use some of the ideas and promote Cheyenne county as the US military work ramps up all around the area this fall. For example, we are working with the tourism center and the city to create banners, flyers, social media promotions to promote the Farmers Market this summer and beyond in Hickory square. This will be done using grant money from the lodging tax that is collected for the county.
There are many resources and ideas we can use to maximize the opportunities for local businesses throughout Cheyenne county. As a community, we can lift up existing programs like the County Fair into new exciting events for all residence and visitors in and around Cheyenne county. We can create new businesses that will be needed over the next 5-10 years and beyond to help grow the county and create jobs.
